We are accountants with personality who engage with their clients.

Our team is part of your team.

I have ample anecdotal evidence of clients who have been successful and others who have been less successful.   I understand the issues and the trouble that clients can get themselves into if they are financially illiterate.  Taxation compliance and liability is the ‘bottomless pit’ that clients can fall into so we suggest safeguards. No tax surprises!

Employees

Clients need to retain their receipts.  Clients like their phones so we can provide a resource that uses their phones to capture their tax deductions if keeping receipts is an issue. When a client takes a photo of the receipt and presses the ‘submit’ button then we have a permanent record of the receipt for 10 years. Clients have no fear of audit from the Australian Taxation Office.  Throw away your receipts.

Self Employed

Self-employed means that clients do not operate though Companies and Trust structures.

These clients will need to have an invoicing system (e.g. Invoice2go, Xero) combined with a receipt keeping resource (e.g. Receipt Bank). Some clients will graduate to a software package (Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks) particularly necessary where they have employees due to the ‘Single Touch Payroll (STP) requirements.  Clients need to understand their obligations relating to Superannuation for employees and in particular the contentious area of subcontractors.

Employers – Small and Large

These clients need to have a software package to keep track of their financial progress and to comply with their taxation obligations. The larger clients may also need a job management to manage their jobs and their staff timesheets.

Taxation

Taxation compliance is critical for clients who do not have tax deducted from their income.  The most successful clients are the ones who do tax planning and set aside funds for payment of their taxation obligations.  We can assist with suggestions giving pro-active and not re-active advice.
